Hello!
This is directed to my many clients, friends and business associates and is one of the most important messages I've written. Most of us are going to be affected by needing quality home care or having to deal with someone that needs it. After all, most of us age 50+ either had personal experience or knows someone who has been devastated by the effects of taking care of another.
Those whom I serve in the capacity of insurance adviser, estate and retirement planning or other financial scope know how I seek to provide the most outstanding benefits and products that help people live a fulfilled, comfortable and secure lifestyle.
I continually search for products, services and benefits that are not only the most up to date but also add benefits that trend in favor of you the individual with innovation and efficiency.
Today I present a real solution to the major needs and concerns you may have surrounding your health and welfare, and I ask you to invest just a little more time now to learn about the new way we are protecting people from financial distress and preventing the unbearable emotional turmoil that taking care of a loved one or family member does to our own well being.
Have you ever thought about who is going to help take care of you or your loved one when THAT DAY comes? It's a subject that is far too often pushed away and not dealt with UNTIL IT'S TOO LATE. But that day has a very high likelihood it WILL COME as 70% of seniors age 50+ require various forms of long term care and these statistics are real.
For many years the primary solution was to obtain a Long Term Care Policy but that insurance is not as available as it once was, the premiums are unreachable by most and the eligibility requirements are prohibitive. It has failed in protecting us in many ways. It was first manufactured and marketed to help people pay for Nursing Home stays when providing money to pay for in-home care was considered an add on with very limited custodial care benefits.
As modern health care has been able to increase longevity, people are living much longer than ever before. While this is great news, it's not for those stricken with illness and in need of lifetime care. Have you ever stepped in to care for someone? If you have then you know what I'm talking about. It's the most difficult thing to do and literally wipes people out physically and emotionally.
PEOPLE WANT TO STAY AT HOME FOR AS LONG AS POSSIBLE!
We need to understand the shift in care that is taking place. This shift is evident by the numbers of new facility, assisted living, memory care and day care centers that are popping up everywhere. However the question remains how to keep ourselves living in our own personal environment rather than live in a cold unknown environment with strangers we don't know. One solution is to pay as you go. With home care costs running from $1,000 mo. to over $4,000 per month it's not possible for many to afford this. Also, this method of care will deplete one's nest egg and render them both ill and broke, removing valuable dollars from their savings and other forms of retirement plans. In addition, the legacy created that was built over a lifetime will not pass to the family.
NEW WAY TO PROVIDE 100% IN-HOME CARE
I'm thrilled to tell you the best way to providing 100% In-Home Care whether it's for a short term need or long term over a persons entire lifetime. Since 2008 American Senior Services Inc. (ASSI) has been catering to people who some day will require Home Health Care with a service that helps keep seniors in their homes. They created a revolutionary service under the name True Freedom which aptly defines what this service can do for those who have the foresight of planning and prefer ultimate peace of mind.
For those fortunate to have a Long Term Care Policy we congratulate you. However most of those policies are designed for facility care and all use the Bucket of Money approach which will pay for costs of care up to the policy dollar limits. If there is a HHC, home health care rider included it will cover custodial care in home but again once the dollar limits have been exceeded the policy no longer is active. According to the COLA and the ever increasing costs of care including home health custodial care it becomes obvious that no matter what the benefit limit was when purchased, it actually buys less and less care over time, (unless you have paid an increased premium to include COLA with your policy.)
What ASSI has discovered is that chasing increasing costs through a policy (of which many cannot afford to buy or keep or medically qualify for) is not the best way to obtain coverage for home care, whether short or long term. Adding to this the fact that there are very few insurance carriers serving this market as most companies have pulled their policies off the shelf or have needed to raise premiums on their insureds at the worst time possible, when they are not working and worse at the time when they are likely to need to keep their policy!
HEAR WHAT DR. MARION SOMERS, A NATIONALLY ACCLAIMED GERIATRIC EXPERT HAS TO SAY ABOUT THE TRUE FREEDOM HOME CARE PLANS
What makes True Freedom different than a long term care policy?
First, it uses time (not dollars) as the method for providing care. They are contracted with most of the large home care agencies near you (in every state) and offer people the ability to "pre-fund" their care now using a membership strategy that provides up to 10,000 Lifetime Hours of quality home care by licensed, bonded and experienced agencies wherever they may live. It's designed to be affordable and a person knows exactly who will supply their care and best of all because of its built in "inflation control" the monthly member fee remains constant while the true costs of care increases over time.
The average cost of home care can be $20-$25 per hour in your area and is forecast to reach $30 plus within the next 10 years. This means paying anywhere from $1,000 to $5,000 per month for care. How many people can afford this? What do they and their family need to do to come up with this money?
